Our Masters level clinicians create and manage comprehensive programs, adhering to ethical and quality standards.

Accreditation

Why Accreditation Gives Better Results

Accreditation is essential to effective treatment because it allows The Family Place to attract top-level master’s level and specialty trained clinicians and staff. By offering the services of top-rated professionals in the field of addiction recovery, we ensure our clients receive the best possible treatment for substance misuse and co-occurring disorders. Clients have a better chance of successfully achieving and maintaining sobriety under the care of a dedicated and experienced clinical team. In addition, accreditation ensures we draw in the best people for every department.

Programs that meet the criteria for accreditation also do the following:

  • Increase confidence within the local community
  • Enable us to draw the attention of professionals in addiction recovery
  • Ensure we meet state licensing requirements
  • Ensure we meet criteria that affect insurance premiums

We welcome the oversight of dedicated organizations to ensure clients feel comfortable relying on the solid framework of ethical and relevant treatments we offer to men, women, and pregnant mothers. Every member of the team, local community, and our clients benefit from the accreditation process because it ensures they have access to life-changing support, education, and other resources.

The Family Place Certifications

Clients who choose The Family Place have the peace of mind that stems from knowing their clinicians operate under policies and procedures that meet the highest standards of care. The following organizations and government departments have accredited our treatment programs:

  • The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
  • The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF)
  • The National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR)
  • Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR)
  • The National and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

The Family Place provides client-focused care that gives clients a safe space for healing and personal growth. The licensing bodies listed above have analyzed our procedures and physically inspected our facility to determine if our programs have the necessary features to meet their high standards. The inspections ensure that our clients get the quality, cost-effective care they need to complete treatment.

We Are JCAHO Accredited

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations is a non-profit organization that provides accreditation for facilities that practice various forms of healthcare. The Family Place strives to provide quality services and therapies by making sure they meet the standards of JCAHO. Clients can take comfort in knowing how seriously we take the responsibility. Our programs provide superior mental health and medical care under the oversight of outside organizations like JCAHO. According to the JCAHO official homepage, facilities with their accreditation have “the highest national standards for safety and quality of care and [are] committed to continually improving patient care.” We share The Joint Commission’s primary goal to improve the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services.

SAMHSA Certified Opioid Treatment Program

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration certifies rehabilitation facilities with opioid treatment programs (OTPs). The process involves having SAMHSA representatives go over every aspect of the facility to ensure it meets all of its standards. According to SAMHSA, “Accreditation is a peer-review process that evaluates an OTP against SAMHSA’s opioid treatment standards.” The Family Place has achieved accreditation by meeting or exceeding requirements in all areas. According to the SAMHSA official website, the requirements include:

  • “OTPs must be both certified and accredited”
  • “Licensed by the state in which they operate”
  • “Registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), through their local DEA office”

SAMHSA is trusted by communities and medical centers around the country, making it easier for us to set up referrals. The stringent requirements and qualification criteria ensure that any rehabilitation facility accredited by SAMHSA provides evidence-based, effective, high-quality care for clients and families participating in their programs.

Licensed by the DCF

The Florida Department of Children and Families is responsible for ensuring that treatment facilities in the state meet a certain standard of care and maintain quality services. According to FloridaHealth.gov, “The Florida Department of Health partners with DCF in seeking to prevent and reduce substance abuse and its negative effects on health.” We partner with community-based and other local organizations to educate and provide support for individuals who need help with their SUD.

Licensed by FARR

The Family Place provides a FARR-certified space where individuals in crisis can feel accepted and respected. According to the FARR official web page on the Standards and Certification Program, “The standard was developed through a strength-based and collaborative approach that solicited input from all major regional and national recovery housing organizations.” FARR looks at the following factors when licensing a facility:

  • The ethical code followed by clinicians, staff, peer leaders, and any volunteer support staff
  • The quality of care clients receive
  • Accessibility of the program and services
  • The ability of clients to make informed decisions on their own recovery

FARR works with organizations and private treatment programs to license local facilities like The Family Place. We believe everyone should have access to excellent care under the supervision of certified professionals.
