The treatment programs we offer for substance use disorder (SUD) include therapies and services that support clients and their families during detox, withdrawal, and continuing care. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), “One of the most critical tasks for the counselor and clinic is encouraging the client to remain in treatment.” Completing a treatment program decreases the risk of relapse and provides you with the best potential outcome. Our multiple levels of care ensure progressive movement toward independent and lasting sobriety.
Get the Best Personalized Treatment
Personalized treatment allows us to accommodate personal, cultural, and religious preferences while providing the best possible care. Some of the factors that guide our tailored treatment plans include:
- Individual and family history of SUD or mental health disorders
- Your treatment and recovery goals
- Physical complications
- Co-occurring conditions
- Severity of symptoms
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), “Matching treatment settings, interventions, and services to an individual’s particular problems and needs is critical to his or her ultimate success in returning to productive functioning in the family, workplace, and society.” The clinicians at The Family Place work with you to find the right level of care to match your symptoms and goals. We offer services to cover all stages of treatment and early recovery.

Partial Hospitalization Program
Partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) are ideal for individuals transitioning out of residential treatment. You can benefit from the highly structured schedule that incorporates group and individual therapy, trauma-focused therapy, peer support, and educational classes. Every day of the week, you have mandatory appointments and meetings to keep you progressing forward. PHP also offers the most intensive treatments and access to 24/7 medical or therapeutic assistance.
Intensive Outpatient Program
Not everyone requires the same degree of structure in their daily care. Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are ideal for those that do not require medical supervision or access to around-the-clock support. Often, intensive outpatient programs are offered to individuals who have completed medical detoxification and have mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms. Therapy and treatment appointments are usually shorter and take place throughout the week. You will still have access to all the services you need to stay on track while gaining additional freedoms and independence.
How much time you spend in the facility interacting with clinicians and peers is the primary difference between outpatient programs (OPs) and IOPs. Instead of spending four to six days a week doing intensive therapy, you will have one to three days with a few individual and group therapy sessions. Community-based support like 12-Step meetings plays a more significant role in OP. You will rely more on community-based support during outpatient treatment.
Dedicated Program for Pregnant Mothers
The program for pregnant women is gender-specific and gives you instructions on essential life and parenting skills to decrease stressors related to pregnancy and motherhood. The educational classes we offer include ones designed specifically for pregnant women and new mothers, including:
- Breastfeeding classes
- Parenting classes
- Co-parenting classes
Motherhood is a beautiful gift that comes with challenges; we can help you overcome these obstacles during treatment and early recovery. Your case manager will connect you to community-based services and helpful resources to prepare you to transition from structured care to ongoing recovery. Your case manager can help you secure items like cribs, baby food, diapers, car seats, and other essentials. You will have a team of people ensuring you and your baby get proper support and personal care. Check out our Pregnant Program page to learn more.
Sober Living Support
We offer sober living and related services for individuals who require a little extra support before transitioning out of structured treatment. You will continue to follow a treatment plan and attend regular individual and group therapy sessions alongside other continuing care like 12-Step meetings and educational classes to build your self-confidence and self-efficacy. Sober living provides you with a safe place to practice basic life skills and healthy coping techniques.
Aftercare Services and Continuing Care
The Family Place offers various aftercare and alumni services for individuals who complete treatment. You will always have a place in our family, and we will help you maintain sobriety through:
- Providing referrals to doctors, therapists, or relevant community-based and private programs
- Advocating on your behalf during the transition from our facility to continuing care
- Giving you information about job placement services, housing assistance, and other essential resources
- Ensuring you have access to all the services you need to continue moving forward in recovery
We offer multiple levels of care, which allows us to meet every client’s needs as they heal and grow.
