Residential Addiction Treatment for Pregnant Women
Residential addiction treatment is arguably the most effective way for pregnant women to begin their recovery from addiction.
At this level of care, we can ensure that our pregnant clients are well cared for, have healthy meals available, get sufficient sleep and exercise and begin learning about the damage that addiction can cause to their unborn children. It also means that they can get away from the stress of everyday life, including work, pressures at home including caring for the children, and from interacting in troubled or unhealthy relationships. Typically, women in residential treatment have less concern about being negatively affected by outside and unwanted influences than those attempting recovery at home.
Pregnant women in the PHP program at The Family Place are surrounded by positive influences, encouraging staff and peers, and constructive activities. At The Family Place, our clients focus on their own health and wellness, and develop the skills they will need to be good mothers and to sustain their sobriety long after rehab is complete. The women that participate in our PHP programs quickly bond with themselves and develop friendships and supportive relationships that can last a lifetime.
