The Family Place offers a continuum of care for men, women, and pregnant mothers recovering from substance use disorders (SUDs). Early recovery is a challenging time for many people, and we help clients stay on track by providing quality treatment in an intimate upscale family environment. Most of our clients are transitioning out of detox or residential treatment. We offer multiple programs and sober living. The community at our facility feels like a family to clients who come to our program looking for an intimate and personalized recovery experience.

We use aspects of integrative therapy to improve our clients’ mental, physical, and emotional health. The levels of care at The Family Place allow clients to gain greater self-confidence and self-awareness before transitioning to independent recovery.

We Offer a Continuum of Care

Our programs let clients move at their own speed along our continuum of care. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), “‘Continuum of care’ refers to a treatment system in which clients enter treatment at a level appropriate to their needs and then step up to more intense treatment or down to less intense treatment as needed.” The programs we offer vary in length, intensity, and focus. We have designed each to treat a specific stage of recovery. The gradual transition decreases the risk of relapse and gives clients the time to create healthy routines.

Treatment Programs at The Family Place

The Family Place is an accredited treatment center with licensed professionals experienced in providing care to individuals recovering from SUD. Every client collaborates with the clinical team at our facility to create a personalized treatment plan. The programs and services we provide include:

Partial hospitalization (PHP)
Intensive outpatient (IOP)
Outpatient (OP)

We also work with local facilities and give referrals for residential in-patient care to anyone who requires more detailed therapeutic or medical care.

Partial Hospitalization

Partial hospitalization allows clients to stay at one of our homes overnight while attending daily therapy sessions, support group meetings, and medical check-ups. Most clients who participate in our PHP have co-occurring mental health disorders and experience more severe or longer-lasting symptoms. Partial hospitalization allows clients to gain confidence in their sobriety and skills. Individuals in PHP can expect to attend the following throughout the week:

Individual and group therapy
Self-help and 12-Step groups
Educational classes
Pregnant women and new mothers attend parenting classes
Community events
Therapeutic group activities, including adventure therapy

Individuals in partial hospitalization often require simultaneous or integrative therapy to treat SUD and co-occurring mental health issues. The Family Place ensures all clients receive the treatments they need. Daily PHP sessions are similar in intensity to residential treatment.

Intensive Outpatient

The next level of care is intensive outpatient. Not everyone feels comfortable transitioning directly to outpatient care, and they may benefit from the additional time spent at the facility. IOP is ideal for individuals who do not have a strong support system at home to help them through the early stages of recovery. Individuals in our IOP program can benefit from the structured flexibility that includes the following:

A space for learning and practicing essential coping techniques
Peer and community support
Events for improving social skills
Multiple therapy sessions and 12-Step meetings throughout the week

Outpatient treatment is one of the least restrictive levels of care and allows people to attend therapy appointments throughout the week while staying at home or in a sober living community. The freedom makes practicing independent sobriety and problem-solving easier by providing real-world situations. Most people in rehabilitation use this program to keep themselves on track with their recovery while returning to work, school, and personal responsibilities during the week.

Outpatient is similar to IOP. However, there are fewer appointments per week, and individual sessions might not last as long. Clients can attend sessions in the mornings or evenings, depending on their schedule. The Family Place maintains regular weekly group and individual therapy appointments, community events, and family support services.

Additional Care and Services

In addition to providing superior intensive outpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs, we also offer the following types of care and services:

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
Sober living
Alumni and aftercare services

You can learn more by visiting our Services page. The programs and services we offer make sure clients have access to high-quality mental health care to treat any co-occurring disorders and symptoms.

Some individuals require therapeutic support for more extended periods. If you find yourself needing extra emotional support during the transition from rehabilitation to independent sobriety, then you might benefit from attending individual therapy involving DBT during and after the program. Your case manager can provide referrals to outside services once you complete treatment. Learn more by visiting our Aftercare page.
