Rehabilitation programs at The Family Place come with a wide range of services and features to encourage self-growth and healing. Substance use disorder (SUD) affects all areas of life. Our services and resources ensure your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being throughout the treatment process.

Personalized Service Leads to Better Outcomes

We believe that personalized service is a necessary part of the treatment process and leads to better outcomes. According to The Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine, current research studies indicate “a need for more precise and personalized treatments, in which evidence-based interventions can be better tailored to the individual characteristics of addicted people.”

The Family Place understands the importance of creating treatment plans that fit the needs of each individual, supported by a variety of services. We make adjustments to treatment as needed during transitions to new stages of recovery.

Expect Excellent Service Quality

You can rely on us to provide excellent quality of service every day. We know that the environment you stay in and how you feel will significantly impact the effectiveness of therapy, peer support, and other forms of treatment. Our team has worked hard to create an intimate, upscale family oriented community where clients can feel supported and heard. The services at our facility encourage clients to grow confident in their ability to maintain sobriety.

The continuum of care we offer decreases the risk of relapse compared to other programs that do not have the luxury of providing care services for multiple stages of recovery. Every program at The Family Place provides the following essential services:

  • Individual therapy
  • Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
  • 24/7 access to medical support
  • Skill development classes
  • Case management
  • Peer support
  • Family support
  • Aftercare
  • Alumni resources

We tailor all of our services to the individual needs of each client. For example, new or pregnant mothers will have access to aftercare resources where they can access items like baby food, car seats, and diapers. Find out more by reading our Pregnant Program page.

We Reward Dedication to Change

The Family Place sets clear expectations for each client to ensure they have a quality experience no matter where they are in their recovery journey. If you want to heal and grow, we will be there for you every step of the way. However, we believe in encouraging self-accountability using various evidence-based and alternative methods. Peer support plays a significant role in accountability during treatment. Services we offer to help clients build social connections include:

  • Weekly community events and activities
  • Group therapy and support meetings
  • A family-like sober living community

We have team members who have gone through their own recovery journey and now spend their time giving peer support to individuals in treatment. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), “Peer support workers are people who have been successful in the recovery process who help others experiencing similar situations.” Research has shown that “peer support services can effectively extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting into the everyday environment of those seeking a successful, sustained recovery process.”

You will have the opportunity to become a role model within our community as you transition through our levels of care. In addition to encouraging a family-like environment, our services also include trauma-informed care.

Trauma-Focused Care and Services

Many individuals who struggle with substance misuse have experienced traumas. According to Current Psychiatry Reports, “Approximately half of individuals seeking SUD treatment meet criteria for current [post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)].” Our team uses a trauma-informed approach to treatment, which means our programs include trauma-specific services.

Every client that has trauma will be assigned a specially trained trauma therapist. The benefits of trauma-informed care include a greater sense of comfort, security, and trust in the treatment process. Avoid re-traumatization while attending programs at our facility. Every team member at The Family Place understands the effects of trauma and how to be mindful of triggers and mental health issues that may co-occur with SUD.

Common trauma-related disorders that co-occur with substance misuse include:

  • PTSD
  • Anxiety disorders like generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
  • Clinical depression
  • Adjustment disorders
  • Acute stress disorder (ASD)

We have services that target co-occurring mental health disorders related to anxiety, trauma, and depression. Skill development, coping mechanisms, and alternative therapies are a few methods we use to decrease stress and assist with symptom management.

How We Help Pregnant Women in Crisis

Pregnant women in crisis require some additional services to ensure their health and the continued health of their babies. We previously mentioned several services, including access to regular medical check-ups. We also ensure that every pregnant mother receives comprehensive mental health services and therapeutic support using the following:

  • Parental skill development classes, including breastfeeding classes
  • Psychotherapy and alternative therapies like rapid resolution therapy and psychodynamic therapy
  • Family therapy and family support services
  • Access to resources that provide financial support and assistance in obtaining necessary items

Aftercare Services and Continuing Sobriety

Aftercare services are a vital part of care because they ensure you continue maintaining the changes you started during detox and withdrawal treatment. To continue progressing in your recovery and personal growth, most people use aftercare services to find the following:

  • Self-help support group meetings
  • Individual therapy
  • Community and local support organizations
  • Access to adequate food, shelter, and job placement
