The therapeutic alliance between client and therapist, combined with our medical expertise ensures a smooth transition through the various stages of recovery. The levels of care we offer include:

  • Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
  • Outpatient (OP)
  • Supportive Housing

All of our programs feature policies designed to create a collaborative relationship between clients and clinicians. Learn more about The Family Place’s core values by visiting our TFP Promise page.

We offer trauma-focused care alongside evidence-based treatments like medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychotherapy, relapse prevention, and essential skill development. Learn more by visiting our Levels of Care page.

Some of the services you can expect during treatment include:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Regular nutritional meals
  • 24/7 access to medical supervision during detox and withdrawal
  • Recreational areas and group events

You never have to feel alone or hopeless again with the continued support and encouragement of our family-like community. Every day, you will interact with clinicians and staff who have your best interest at heart and want you to succeed at achieving sobriety.

Trauma-Focused Therapy and Care

The trauma-focused treatment and care that sets our facility apart ensures that every client feels safe and supported during the rehabilitation process. Our team uses a trauma-informed approach, and every client receives trauma-focused therapy to provide a strong foundation for healing and growth.

You may unknowingly struggle with mild or severe symptoms related to past trauma. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), “Although many individuals report a single specific traumatic event, others, especially those seeking mental health or substance abuse services, have been exposed to multiple or chronic traumatic events.” We believe decreasing the effects of trauma can positively impact your recovery and treatment. Individual trauma therapy ensures you get the support that addresses any trauma responses that might be influencing your thought patterns or behaviors.

You Are More Than a Diagnosis

You are more than a diagnosis, and substance abuse does not define you. Clinicians at The Family Place treat symptoms and side effects, but their focus is on you and ensuring you feel confident in your recovery before transitioning into continuing care. You will not go through the rehabilitation process alone. We will give you all the tools you need to succeed. Pregnant women and mothers in crisis will significantly benefit from the knowledge, support, and encouragement offered by our team at all levels of care.

The Day-to-Day Experience

Your day-to-day schedule will include various events, activities, treatments, and free time for social interaction and self-care. Staying busy makes it easier to avoid triggers, intrusive thoughts, and cravings. We have various ways to keep your mind focused on treatment and healing, including:

  • Multiple individual therapy sessions each day, including a session dedicated to trauma therapy
  • Daily group therapy and peer support
  • Educational classes and skill development
  • Outdoor events and weekly activities like movie night and community meals

Free time is in the afternoon and can be used to communicate with family members, practice coping skills, socialize, or participate in healthy recreational activities.

Case Management and Treatment Goals

Recovery and treatment goals will designate vital areas to encourage self-growth and healing. The more confident you feel about maintaining sobriety, the smoother the transition will be between levels of care. You will collaborate with your care team to create treatment goals that we monitor consistently throughout your stay at our facility. You have the support and tools you need to replace previous maladapted behaviors with new healthy routines. Part of The Family Place experience includes being guided through detox and withdrawal by clinicians who treat you with respect and empathy.

Our team is passionate about providing quality services and personalized trauma-informed care to every client. Your case manager will advocate for you during treatment and help you decide which resources you need access to during continuing care.

You can expect your case manager to do the following:

  • Provide you with regular progress updates
  • Ensure you have personalized care and any necessary accommodations
  • Connect you with essential resources during treatment and aftercare
  • Advocate on your behalf through every stage of the program

Aftercare Services and Continuing Care

For many people in treatment, the most challenging stage of recovery comes after completing the treatment program. Your case manager and our clinicians are available to provide information, suggestions, and referrals as part of our aftercare services. Before leaving our facility, you will get access to the following:

  • Referrals for individual and group therapy, medical check-ups, and family support
  • Information on local advocacy and recovery groups
  • Options for maintaining sobriety include attending 12-Step meetings
  • Information on local housing, job placement, and financial assistance programs

We understand that recovery does not end when you leave our facility. As a member of our community and family, you always have access to our continued support. Visit our Alumni page to learn more about the services we offer.
