We believe that avoiding boredom and remaining busy throughout the day is vital to developing new routines and healing from substance misuse. Clients can expect their daily schedule to be filled with activities and exercises to keep them focused on recovery. Many clients choose to stay at our residence buildings while undergoing treatment. The sober living community we offer provides an intimate and safe space where they can grow and maintain sobriety.

We Provide Family-Focused Treatment

The Family Place encourages family involvement in the treatment process. We offer a range of program services that allow clients and their loved ones to support one another and work together to create healthier family dynamics. Some of the family-focused treatments we provide include family therapy, co-parenting classes, and family support services. We guide wounded families through the recovery process, helping them heal together and repair relationships damaged by the effects of substance misuse.

Recovery is not easy, and it requires dedication, hard work, and a willingness to make lasting changes. All clients attend individual and group therapy during treatment, including trauma therapy. We believe that people in recovery cannot fully heal without first acknowledging and processing underlying traumas related to their substance misuse.

Treatment Services for Pregnant Women in Crisis

Pregnant women in crisis have limited options and resources. We fill in the gap by providing a family-like environment where mothers can get the help they need. The dedicated clinicians at The Family Place collaborate with pregnant mothers to create tailored care plans designed to keep them and their babies safe and healthy throughout the healing process.

According to Florida Health, “When you are pregnant, everything that goes into your body has the potential to have an effect on your unborn baby.” Research has proven that “Smoking, drinking alcohol, abusing prescription drugs or using illicit drugs can all pass through the placenta and have a negative effect on you and your baby.” We understand how frightening it can be to live with the symptoms and side effects of substance misuse while pregnant. You are not alone, and there is hope. Learn more about how we can help by reading our Pregnant Program page.

Clinical and Peer Support

Peer support is an essential part of the recovery process for most clients. Our clinical team collaborates with each individual to create an environment that encourages peers to practice skills like setting and maintaining social boundaries. Clients attend daily group therapy and support sessions with peers.

We also use regular community events to encourage clients, clinicians, and support staff to meet in an informal setting. Every weekend we host a movie night and community get-together that allows people to see each other as equals and individuals first. We consider clients a part of our family.

Achieving Emotional, Mental, and Physical Stability

Rehabilitation gives clients the tools to maintain emotional, physical, and mental stability. Treatment involves challenging maladaptive behaviors and thought patterns that contributed to the development of substance misuse. According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), “Motivation for change is a key component in addressing substance misuse.” The process can be intense, and we help clients navigate recovery while planning for a future of independent recovery. To accomplish this, we use personalized care plans.

The Importance of Personalized Treatment

At The Family Place, we personalize treatments because we have seen the amazing positive impact they have on individuals and families. We use holistic care to ensure all of our clients receive access to program services and treatment modalities that are right for them. During rehabilitation, you can expect to work alongside our care team to create a set of recovery goals that will help us track your progress throughout the program. The clinicians will do regular progress check-ins and adjust your treatment to help you meet your recovery goals. You can expect treatment to prepare you to cope with real-world challenges related to long-term recovery.

We provide high-quality rehabilitation programs for men, women, and pregnant women struggling with the devastating effects of addiction. To learn more about what The Family Place offers, call us today at 1-800-501-7796 to speak with an intake specialist.
